Over the past 26+ years of had many mentors in different areas of my life. The knowledge and experience from them all have gotten me to where I am at today. If you want to save years of pain and frustration, get a mentor and start improving at least one area of your life.
I’ve paid for many programs through the years, from Sales to Marketing, Personal and Spiritual Development. I’ve had countless hours working with some high level Coaches and Trainers, yet some of my best mentors were other friends and associates walking the path with me in business and life, which in my reality are the same.
Not everyone is in the position to spend hundreds and thousands of dollars on Coaches and Mentors, especially as you are getting started in your online marketing business and fortunately there are plenty of programs for free or low cost to help guide you in your journey.
You never have to go your path alone.
Another great source of Mentorship can be found on YouTube on any subject you are looking for help in.
Many of us are not big on research and now we have tools to help find any knowledge we are looking for with the help of AI, specifically ChatGPT. (Which I decided not to use in this article)
Here are just some of the areas of have had a specific mentors for:
- Sales
- Marketing
- Communication
- Networking
- Spirituality
- Meditation
- Attraction Marketing
- Addiction Recovery
- Health (Exercise, Nutrition & Supplement)
- Dog Training
- Relationship
- And Much More…
The point being, every area of life you are looking to change can be improved quick and easier with the help of someone who has been where you are in their past and can show you specifically what they did to overcome the challenges they faced.
Don’t be afraid to get a mentor who is still in their process of growth as sometimes these can be the best people for you as they are more relateable as well us their experiences are fresher as they are still going going through things. I have found when working with Mentors “At the Top” while they may be better teachers of material my mind will come up with more reasons to doubt what they are sharing.
Here is a perfect example, in joining a network marketing business in the past, the person I choose wasn’t necessarily a big leader in the company, yet he had another resource I wanted greater access to that most others did not possess.
Another example in my recovery program I have turned to specific people based on their particular skills I wanted to be able to improve such as spirituality or relationships.
“Don’t Go it Alone” is a principal from another Mentor of mine which reminds us that having the guidance and support of others is going to make our journey both more productive and enjoyable.
